The man looked over the edge, tears running down his cheeks, stained with
blood. He was laughing and sobbing, hysterical, possibly insane from the
demons that only he could see and hear.

His hair whipped around his face, his shredded clothes beating about his
body. Lightning crackled overhead, the sky black with clouds. Rain started
to fall from the heavens, crying in sympathy for the man who stood at
cliff´s edge.

He looked around once more, mouthing words that no one could understand if
they had been there. He could hear screams from his home, they had obviously
realised his absence by now.

He could hear footsteps behind him, but he didn´t care. He didn´t look, he
would kill them, all of them.

Instead he turned his face to the heavens, who cried down harder, and threw
himself off the cliff, onto the rocks below.

And the heavens cried for the loss.

Storm screamed her fury to the sky, lightning crackling around her, the rain
hitting the ground hard as her anger. Rogue was up there as well, her tears
invisible with the water already on her face, but they were there. Jean´s
head was hung, she was clinging to Rogue like she´d never let go.

On the ground, Hank and Iceman held the Professor´s hands tightly, trying
not to be overwhelmed by the despair that flooded from his mind, the heart
wrenching desolation that tore at all of them. Remy stood nearby, watching
over the edge, waiting to see what had happened.

Logan appeared over the edge of the cliff, carrying the body. His eyes were
red, not only with fury, but with genuine grief. He lay down the broken
shell as carefully as he could, closing the chocolate brown eyes that no
longer glowed.

They stood, in the middle of the storm, staring at the body of Scott
Summers, the Cyclops, who had killed himself not half an hour before.

And the heavens cried with them.
