When time
was young
The sky
fathered
The
earth, his daughter
She broke
his only command
She fell
in love
With
another man
With a
cruel trick of faith
Her lover
was his enemy
The
shinning sun
The sky
created the stars
So that
the earth and the sun
Could see
but never touch
She cried
over her misery
And her
tears fell
Each
teardrop a piece of her heart
Her tears
made the oceans
As
beautiful as she had been
A deep
blue colour they were
The sun
went to see his love
Now an
ocean of life
Shinning
of silver as he of light
But the
sky saw this
And
created mankind
Who would
torture the silver oceans
When the
sun bent to kiss
The
silver surface of the ocean
He felt
her suffering
He was
powerless
Against
the creatures of the land
His heart
broke in two
One piece
became the moon
The other
the wind
Caring
the surface of the once silver ocean
Both
hoping for a chance
To become
one as they had been
But both
knowing that mankind stood between them
